Bodycam video shows first responders rescue Ohio woman trapped in burning home

Video released this week shows first responders in northern Ohio rescuing a woman who was trapped inside a burning home.

The fire happened in Medina County on Wednesday afternoon, about three hours north of the Cincinnati area.

Fire officials said the woman was hiding from the fire inside of her basement, which only had one small window to the outside.

The woman is only 5-foot-2 and was not able to reach high enough to pull herself out of the basement.

First responders arrived to the scene and broke out the window to the basement, allowing the chief of the department to climb inside and rescue her.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover. Investigators have not said what caused the fire.
