A car dragged a scooter rider dozens of metres along a road after he fell in front of the vehicle in eastern China.

The terrifying video, filmed in the city of Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province on December 9, shows a scooter rider suddenly falling in front of a car and sucked underneath the vehicle.

The car then dragged the scooter rider dozens of metres along the road before the motorist realised.

Fortunately, the scooter rider only suffered minor scratches.
