making a 250,000 volt transformer
By: wow the making of a quarter of a million volt transformer from scratch is really quite something. At one time this was the sole preserve of American companies like Edison and General Electric or British and French firms - and so it remained as for a hundred years or more... but not anymore.. now these bastads can be made anywhere by anyone with the right equipment training and will to do the job.
Unfortunately there's some self promotion in the vid from the original maker...if itemfix lets it through nonetheless its an interesting vid by anyone's standards. I never knew of the complex nature of such devices. Whilst it's perhaps not critical equipment it is probably still up there among the top manufacturers of said equipment - I'd hazard a guess. I can't decipher the logo so do not know who to direct the credit to - but thanks for a great vid anyhow!
