Dashcam shows Northeast Ohio officer try to corral wild turkey crossing the street
Everybody knows the joke “why did the chicken cross the road”, but what about a wild turkey?
The answer? To plug up traffic in Pepper Pike, as a couple of police officers learned of the animal running a-fowl through their streets.
Pepper Pike PD officials say they tried to get the bird out of the intersection of Lander and South Woodland Roads on Jan. 25.
PPPD says they’re working with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to try to relocate the turkey, but evidently have been unsuccessful in their attempts so far.
The department said the turkey is most likely staying in the area because people keep feeding her.
Pepper Pike police officials asking the community to not feed the turkey, stating they “would hate to see her cause an accident.”
