A 1960's promotional film (16mm) from one of the first CNC Machines - extolling it's virtues whilst drumming up business! It went on to revolutionise manufacturing processes and years later was used to make the first compact hard disks for the computers that came later.

It can utilise up to 15 tools - interestingly the 'automatic' changer(s) are governed by mechanical parts as this was before the age of computers - the 486 was still 30+ years away. The machine was governed by a tape program - clever stuff indeed.

Caution: aimed more towards fellow Rivet Counters and the curious. Not suitable for you-know-who. etc..
