Man wanted on mutlitple warrants is arrest in Atlanta

On August 4, 2022 Officers with the Atlanta Police Department’s Fugitive Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment complex in the city of Atlanta in search for wanted fugitive, 27-year-old Santerius Kemp. He was wanted for multiple City of Atlanta warrants and was one of the Theft from Auto Unit’s top 5. Mr. Kemp was located after a search warrant was obtained, based on information that was obtained due to the assistance of the Secret Service. Mr. Kemp in addition, had warrants out of Cobb, Gwinnett, Fulton, and Alpharetta.

Fugitive Officers responded to the location of where Mr. Kemp was believed to be living. During this time, announcements were made for the occupant(s) to come out of the residence, however no one responded. Officers then forced entry into the apartment and was able to successfully take Mr. Santerius Kemp into custody without incident. They were able to clear the residence and did not locate anyone else inside of the apartment.

Mr. Kemp was wanted for an April 24th, 2022, multiple theft from vehicles incident where he was able to flee from police. His charges include: Entering Auto, Theft by Receiving, Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Fleeing and Eluding, Possession of the Tools for the Commission of Crime, Obstruction, and Reckless Driving.

Mr. Kemp has a lengthy criminal record and multiple arrest cycles for entering automobiles and he is also a convicted felon with multiple felony convictions.
