Notre Dame, París
Notre-Dame Cathedral is a medieval Catholic cathedral on Île de la Cité in Paris, France, renowned for its French Gothic architecture, stunning stained glass windows, and significant historical role. Construction began in 1163 and was largely completed by the 14th century, making it one of the oldest still-standing structures of its kind. The cathedral is also famous for its sculptures, flying buttresses, and the iconic rose windows. A fire in April 2019 caused serious damage, closing the cathedral for extensive and costly repairs; it reopened in December 2024
