Weekend Cinema - Brass Monkeys....
just as the UK is being hit by 'The Beast From The East' (ftwdk, that means cold air from Siberia is blowing across Europe bringing frozen air ice and snow)...anyway, from the BFI (British Film Institute) comes this classic 'Snowdrift at Bleath Gill' - made in1955 during the Steam Era by the BTF (British Transport Filums) [Northern Ireland Dvn, ra-ra-ra]. The lads had to be sent out to rescue a snowbound consist - hilarious fun ensues.... if you can believe that..
As you may have suspected this is Heavy Duty Rail Related Malarkey...and the usual warnings apply - if you are at all unsure take the safe option and Michael Jackson outahere.. conversely, should you like the genre grab a nice warm drink and a squeaky pipe and enjoy this trip back some 65 years. (many moons ago an old man in a cave I was smoking opium in said to me 'squeaky pipe is good pipe' - and he was 100 percent correct....anyway, that's another story for another time as they say).
