Kentwood Police Officers push man home after power chair dies on the street
A West Michigan man is extremely thankful two Kentwood Police Officers came to his rescue late Monday night after his power chair died on the side of the road.
Dominic Russell was on his way home on his power chair late Monday night when it started to die near 44th and Breton in Kentwood.
Not confident he could make it across the intersection, he became stranded on the side of the road.
After more than an hour, he decided to call 911. Just about 10 minutes later, Russell said two Kentwood Police Officers came to his rescue.
After brainstorming how to get him home, Officers Joseff and Mendez decided to physically push Russell to his destination.
Together, the officers took turns pushing him in his power chair to his home.
