Auburn Police Release Bodycam Footage Showing Struggle to Protect Child During Arrest
Auburn police have released bodycam footage capturing a tense confrontation between officers and 39-year-old Chelci Love, who attempted to choke her three-year-old child during an altercation.
Officers were called to Love’s West Middle School apartment to assist child protective services after reports that she was sleeping on the floor with her two children, ages six and three.
The video shows officers pleading with Love to release her child as she resists, threatening both her mother and the CPS worker.
Despite attempts to subdue her, Love refused to let go of the child, forcing officers to use physical force to protect the child and take Love into custody.
Love now faces multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest.
