A robot was used to pick up and sort rubbish on the streets in eastern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province on October 28, shows a robot moving along a street at Qianjiang New City to gather rubbish.

According to reports, the robot can work for eight hours after being charged and it can pick up around 17.5kg rubbish per day, the workload of which equals three cleaners.
