Bodycam video shows the moment a suspect tried fleeing from a deputy after a second hit-and-run in Volusia County last month.

On Nov. 30, Deputy Darcy with the Volusia Sheriff’s Office was on the scene of a hit-and-run crash when she got a call for a second hit-and-run nearby.

When she arrived at the second scene, the suspect, 37-year-old Timothy Woulard Jr., was seen on worn bodycam footage taking off on foot.

As Darcy gave chase, she repeatedly called out for Woulard to stop before firing multiple Taser shots. Despite seemingly being struck multiple times, Woulard continued to run until a Taser shot ultimately brought him down.

Investigators said Woulard had the keys to the hit-and-run vehicle in his pocket, along with several rocks of fentanyl. A loaded handgun was also recovered after Woulard allegedly dropped it during the chase.

Woulard was reportedly found to be on probation for manslaughter and was charged with a violation of his probation as well as charges of DUI with damage, leaving the scene of a crash, possession of a firearm/ammo by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed firearm, resisting without violence, and possession of a controlled substance.
