Arsonist Sets Himself on Fire
On December 20, a second-year student at a local pedagogical university received a call from a “Central Bank specialist.” The fraudster convinced the girl that her parents had “embarked on the path of illegal activity” and were financially supporting Ukraine. He convinced the victim that her parents had come to the attention of law enforcement officers and that they could not be saved without her help. She was told that in order to save her loved ones from criminal liability, she needed to buy a canister, fill it with gasoline and set fire to the cars of one of the police departments.
Carrying out the order, the girl came to the department building, but there were no cars there. After that, she was sent to a bank branch on 60 Let Oktyabrya Street and told to set fire to the terminal. During the arson, the fire spread to the girl - with thermal burns of 1-2 degrees, shock and thermal inhalation trauma, the girl was hospitalized, her condition is assessed as serious. A case of intentional damage to property has been opened
