Surveillance video shows woman shooting inside a Connecticut police station lobby
Suzanne Laprise, 51, of Plainville, Connecticut has been charged with an array of crimes after she opened fire inside a local police station last week.
The Connecticut Office of the Inspector General released surveillance and body cam footage on Oct. 10 showing officers responding to the Oct. 5 incident.
According to the Bristol Police Department, Laprise entered the department building at around 10:35 p.m. on Oct. 5. She fired multiple rounds into the lobby desk office window with a handgun. Luckily, the lobby and desk were unoccupied at the time, and the desk was concealed by bullet-resistant glass.
After Laprise fired the initial shots, the police tried to calm the gunwoman down but were allegedly unsuccessful as she fired additional rounds at the officers. Officer Spencer Boisvert promptly fired two shots back at Laprise, according to WTNH.
The bullet-proof glass also stopped the bullets from striking Laprise.
