Man rescued from a submerged vehicle, after he lost control, crashed upside down in a retention pond
A man was rescued from a submerged vehicle on Sunday, April 16, after he lost control and crashed upside down in a retention pond on Palm Coast Parkway in Flagler County, Florida, local police said.
Bodycam footage of the rescue released by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) shows deputies, firefighters, and several civilians working together to pull the driver out to safety.
Having spotting a child’s car seat in the vehicle, deputies searched it again, but confirmed there were no other occupants, said FCSO.
“CPR was initiated, and the driver was rushed to a local hospital for treatment,” the sheriff’s office said.
Sheriff Rick Staly praised the rescuers for their “quick action and bravery,” and wished the driver a full recovery.
