Snake swallows whole gecko which entered its tank

This is the gruesome moment a baby rat snake swallowed a whole gecko for dinner.

The pet caught the gecko when it mistakenly wandered its enclosure in Krabi province, southern Thailand.

It took the snake a few minutes before it was able to swallow the whole reptile, which was noticeably thicker than the serpent.

One of the locals who witnessed the incident said: "There was no chance for the gecko to escape alive.''
