Lebanon Police released bodycam of officers taking 2 escaped inmates into custody after a jailbreak
The Lebanon Police Department has released bodycam footage of officers taking two escaped inmates from Sumner County back into custody after a jailbreak.
William Rutherford, 40, and Kenneth Campbell, 29, were both captured Saturday morning at a Dollar General in Wilson County. A Tennessee Most Wanted Alert was issued for Rutherford’s arrest.
He was originally arrested on July 5, 2023, on charges of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, felon in possession of a weapon, and tampering with evidence.
Campbell was in jail for mostly drug charges, along with a theft and felon in possession of a weapon charge.
Elvis Bush, 43, was located hours after the escape and was back in custody just before 2 a.m. on Friday. He was originally arrested on drug charges.
All three inmates are back in custody as of Saturday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.
