Helicopter footage shows Trooper 2 following a suspect involved in a non-fatal shooting
By: The Detroit Regional Communication Center was notified that Trooper 2 was following a suspect involved in a non-fatal shooting.
Undercover detectives from Eastpointe PD were also following the suspect vehicle and requesting MSP’s assistance. Troopers arrived in the parking lot of the Ford Motor Company and, with the guidance of Trooper 2, were led to the suspect vehicle.
The suspect, a 30-year-old male from Detroit, attempted to drive away from Troopers. As the vehicle drove past a marked unit, a PIT maneuver was attempted and successful.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and turned over to Eastpointe PD detectives on scene. There were no injuries reported by police or the suspect.
