In December 2020, a North Salt Lake woman was arrested by a Bountiful police officer on charges of interfering with an arresting officer and disorderly conduct during a domestic call. However, a month later, these charges were dropped.

In October 2023, the woman, Gretta Jensen, filed a lawsuit against the Bountiful Police Department, claiming excessive force was used against her while an officer was trying to place her in handcuffs.
