Hillsborough release body cam of a 14-year-old suspect being arrested after he shot two, killing one
By: Detectives arrested the suspect involved in shooting two people, one of them fatal, Saturday afternoon in Hillsborough County.
Adeem Berry, 14, is facing felony charges of Murder in the Second Degree With a Weapon, Attempted Murder in the First Degree Premeditated Firearm - Discharge, Aggravated Assault With Deadly Weapon.
The Sheriff's office is also releasing body-worn camera footage of the tense moments when deputies contacted Berry, as he threatened to take his own life with a gun.
"It is incredible to see the deputies in this video remain calm, build a rapport with the young suspect, and talk him down from hurting himself or anyone else," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "This is a testament to the deputies' training and knowledge and use of the de-escalation tools they've been given. They work, and they save lives."
