a fascinating look at the making of a large heavy duty gearwheel for a large press utilising the Daryl Process ie: dat'l do... and for such a process it seems to work quite well. Admittedly NASA might not want to use the steel for their projects but for a 150 ton press that will have a lifetime of metal-abuse it performs ok.
I'm still impressed at the building up of a mould in what looks to be the shop-floor - it calls for lots of labour but that's something they have in abundance. As stated before long after western centres of industry lie in ruins it'll be outfits like this that can get machinery which people will need up and running a lot faster than many others. Cant help but admire their basic ingenuity.
