A motorcycle chase turned into a game of cat-and-mouse in central Florida.

It all began when Corporal Calvin Batts tried to pull over a motorcyclist because of a missing license plate.

The rider, identified as 32-year-old Matthew Price, did everything but pull over. Instead, Price sped away on his motorcycle, and weaved in and out of traffic in an effort to lose the deputy.

The sheriff's office said the deputy managed to get ahead of Price and parked his car to block his path as the motorcyclist tried to slip between two cars. Investigators said the motorcyclist tried to drive around the deputy, but ended up hitting him. The deputy pulled Price off the motorcycle before putting him into handcuffs.

Price faces a charge of fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer. He's at the Marion County Jail. He faces up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
