Edmonton police helicopter footage of a stolen motorcycle fleeing officers at 200km/h

A motorcycle chase though Edmonton ended with a suspect’s arrest — and the whole thing was caught on camera by a police helicopter.
The Edmonton Police Service shared the helicopter footage on their Instagram page Monday. The video shows the suspect on a motorcycle weaving through traffic and splitting cars.
“Blew a red (light),” an officer describing the motorcycle’s movements, can be heard on the video.
Police say the suspect eventually entered Leduc County, reaching speeds beyond 200 km/h.
“After arriving in the town of Gwynne, the suspect lost control of the bike on a gravel range road and ran into the bushes,” EPS wrote in the video caption.
The suspect can then be seen surrendering to police, as the video ends.
Edmonton police believe the Ducati motorcycle being driven by the suspect was stolen.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle at Jasper Avenue and 109 Street, they say, before the suspect fled. That’s when the police helicopter was called in to assist.
