The third suspect is a 20-year-old man who was taken into custody by Gila River Police Department. He has not been identified and charges are pending, Maricopa police said.

The officer shot in the incident was identified as Cpl. J. Fox by Konold, who said Fox is recovering from his injuries at home. The department employs a Joshua Fox, who was promoted to corporal from police officer in 2022, according to public salary records.
