Police bodycam footage shows the moments after a dog was rescued from icy waters in Little Compton on Christmas Day.

Authorities responded around 3:19 p.m. after receiving a call that a dog had fallen through the ice on Long Pond.

The dog fell though the ice about 50 yards from shore, the fire department said.

Two firefighters used an ice rescue sled to get the dog.

The dog’s owners had previously used a rubber raft in a failed rescue attempt.

Firefighters rescued the dog and placed it in an ambulance.

Here the footage shows first responders drying the dog and warping the dog in blankets for warmth.
