A sinkhole opened up on a road after a scooter drove past due to a water leak in northern China.

The CCTV video, filmed in the city of Yuanping in Shanxi Province on October 25, shows the road suddenly collapsing just after a scooter drove past above it.

A man walking a dog spotted the incident and fled quickly.

According to reports, the road collapse was caused by a water leak from a sewer pipe. The sinkhole has been filled in.
