The New Orleans Police Department released body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting that happened in January.

Investigators said officers found a vehicle matching the description of a stolen vehicle. As the officer approached, an unresponsive teenage boy was found sleeping in the running vehicle with what appeared to be a gun in his waistband.
After several attempts to wake him up, the teen woke up and attempted to drive off. The NOPD reported an officer fired a shot at the vehicle, missing the teen. He was not hit but suffered minor injuries from a broken glass window and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
After he was released from the hospital, the teen was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center for resisting a police officer with force or violence, juvenile in possession of a firearm and three counts of aggravated assault upon a peace officer with a motor vehicle.
