Fireworks disaster

This firework disaster took place on Saturday 13 May 2000 in the Dutch city of Enschede. A storage room with fireworks from the company S.E. Fireworks caught fire and eventually exploded. Twenty-three people were killed (including four firefighters) and about 950 were injured, 200 homes were destroyed.
