Volusia Co. release video of teen being bitten, arrested by K9 when trying to hide from the air unit
Deputy Feliciano was on patrol in around 2 a.m. when he spotted 3 young men in black clothing, one wearing a ski mask.
When the deputy stopped to talk to them, they took off running.
A 15-year-old wearing the ski mask gave up a short distance away, and admitted he was carrying a knife. The other two ran the opposite direction.
As deputies set up a perimeter in the area and called in support from K-9 and Air One, both were apprehended.
Upon their arrests, two firearms were recovered from those subjects, both 16 years of age.
One was carrying a loaded Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun reported stolen out of DeLand.
The other had a Taurus G2C 9mm handgun found in the area where he was hiding, along with a box of 9mm hollow point ammunition and black gloves.
Each defendant was charged with loitering and prowling, carrying a concealed weapon, and resisting arrest without violence. One was additionally charged with grand theft of a firearm, and another was also charged with battery on a police animal for kicking K-9 Toki in the face during his apprehension.
