Body cam and surveillance video shows suspect ramming police cruisers outside Target store
A Columbus man was arraigned in court Friday, charged with resisting arrest and more after allegedly ramming several marked and unmarked police cruisers.
Trayvonne Patterson, 28, of Columbus, is accused of injuring an officer during the incident that took place Thursday afternoon in the parking lot outside a Target store at Mill Run.
In court Friday, a judge set Patterson's bond for multiple felonies and misdemeanors totaling approximately $150,000.
Hilliard police said officers tried to block in Patterson after a report that he was shoplifting.
They said Patterson rammed several police cruisers in a stolen Hyundai Elantra as well as another car before officers deployed a Taser on him.
Investigators said he had two loaded guns in Patterson's backpack and was wanted on several warrants out of Delaware County. Police said in a news release there was also a female in the car, Monque Dasha Larry, 30 of Columbus, who is now facing drug possession charges.
An officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
