SLMPD releases body cam and surveillance video of CVPA High School fatal shooting
Police on Wednesday released two videos from the Oct. 2022 fatal school shooting at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School in St. Louis, including the body camera footage of the shootout with responding officers who killed the intruder.
The shooter entered the school and killed 61-year-old teacher Jean Kuczka, 15-year-old student Alexandria Bell, and injured others.
Police also released surveillance footage that tracked the intruder’s movements throughout the building, which is also shared with Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience.

9:02 a.m. - Subject arrives in car
9:08 a.m. - Subject enters school
9:09 a.m. - First 911 call is made
9:11 a.m. - First radio dispatch
9:23 a.m. - Subject located
9:26 a.m. - Subject in custody
The other video shows an officer arriving at the school with a squad of other responders. They learn the shooter is on the third floor and proceed to that location. The video ends with a shootout between the officers and the suspect.
