OKCPD releases body cam of a suspect knocking a female officer unconscious and continues to beat her
A man has been arrested after Oklahoma City police say he "brutally attacked" an officer.
The incident happened in the area of NW 23rd and Meridian.
Police said 26-year-old Deangelo Wright, a convicted felon, punched the officer in the midst of the altercation.
According to OKCPD, Wright knocked the officer unconscious and continued to beat her while she was unconscious.
The officer was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Wright was later arrested after he was found hiding in a laundry room. The officer has not been identified.
Wright is facing criminal complaints for Aggravated Assault and Battery on an Officer, Maiming, and Domestic Violence by Strangulation. His bond has been set at $10,000,000.
