Dashcam shows Florida woman clocking in at 145 mph during high-speed chase with state trooper
A 21-year-old woman faces multiple charges after she led state troopers on an extreme high-speed chase.
Cecilia Elise Hoffman was traveling northbound on Interstate 75 in Lee County when officials say she was clocked driving more than 145 mph. A trooper attempted a traffic stop, but Hoffman evaded by taking Exit 82 onto SR-82, FHP said.
On Colonial Boulevard, FHP said the woman reached speeds of 120 mph. This is where troopers stopped her BMW using a PIT Maneuver near Griffin Drive.
Following the crash, Hoffman can be seen on a dash camera exiting the car and beginning to run.
According to WBBH, the 21-year-old was arrested and charged with DUI, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, resisting without violence and reckless driving.
The chase was recorded on a dash camera.
