Mt. Pleasant Police officers rescue woman from fiery crash

Newly released bodycam footage shows Mt. Pleasant Police Officers braving the heat and rescuing a woman from a large car fire earlier this week.
On Sunday, Oct. 27 at 9:55 p.m., officers with the Mt. Pleasant Police Department were sent to a roll-over crash on North Mission Rd. There, police found a car on its side with flames coming from the rear.
The flames quickly spread, engulfing the car as police smashed the front windshield, rescuing the driver.
The driver, a 22-year-old woman from Sterling Heights, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. No one else was in the car.
