Officers Conduct a Traffic Stop and Recover Firearm, Narcotics, and Cash
By: On July 7th, 2023, at approximately 7:47PM, Zone 3 officers observed a white in color Dodge Durango with extremely dark window tint travelling northbound on Northside Drive near Whitehall Street.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at Northside Drive and Spellman Lane. During the course of their investigation, officers recovered a .40 caliber Glock handgun, a large bag filled with marijuana, measuring scales, and a zip-up case containing approximately $58,220.
The driver was placed into custody and charged with Illegal Window Tint, Failure to Maintain Lane, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Obstruction. The suspect was transported to the Fulton County Jail.
