Body camera footage shows Glendale police shooting and killing a 15-year-old boy
Authorities have released footage of a police shooting in Glendale that killed 15-year-old Juan Carlos Bojorquez on July 6.
According to Glendale Police Public Information Officer Randy Stewart, officers found Bojorquez in a stolen car in an apartment parking lot near North 63rd Avenue and West Citrus Way just before 2 p.m.
Police said there was also a 16-year-old boy in the car.
Authorities said police confronted Bojorquez and the minor told them he had a gun inside the car. When officers tried to pull him out of the car, Bojorquez reached for the gun, prompting an officer to shoot Bojorquez, police said.
Officers then administered life-saving aid to the 15-year-old before he was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead, according to authorities.
