Colerain Township police are investigating after receiving a call of an active shooter inside a car dealership Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to Joseph Chevrolet Colerain dealership just after 4 p.m. Thursday for reports of shots fired. Police say no one was injured.

Police said a male employee was arrested after allegedly firing several rounds in the showroom of the dealership.

The suspect, identified by police as 21-year-old Rashid Dewees, was taken into custody without incident.

Dewees has been charged with aggravated menacing and inducing panic. He was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Body camera video released Friday shows the intensity of the police response.

In the video, Dewees appears to be saying “you are so beautiful” to someone.

Dewees was in court on Friday, where prosecutors said Dewees pointed the gun at someone, then pointed away and fired off two shots before police got there.

People at the businesses nearby saw dozens of officers racing to the scene.
