Raccoon rescued from ledge of New York City building
A giant raccoon caused a stir in downtown Manhattan on December 8 when it scaled a building and had to be rescued by a group of witnesses holding a tarp.
Nick Schmidt caught the moment the wild animal safely fell from a roughly 20-foot high ledge.
The raccoon was spotted shortly before 10 a.m. on Hudson Street in Tribeca, New York City, police said.
It’s unclear if the raccoon was stuck, but a group of witnesses took matters into their own hands to get the animal down.
