Body cam released after 8 arrested in McDonald's melee in Fall River, police say
Police have released body camera footage from officers who responded to a disturbance involving juveniles and resulted in eight arrests at a Fall River, Massachusetts, McDonald's earlier this week.
Fall River police said that at about 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, they received a call from CVS Pharmacy at 1620 President Avenue, which is off Route 6, reporting a large group of juveniles were causing a disturbance.
When police arrived at the CVS, the juveniles went into the nearby McDonald's at 1690 President Avenue.
McDonald's management told police that the juveniles could not stay inside because a fight had taken place before they entered the restaurant.
Police said when officers told the juveniles they had to leave, they became confrontational and refused to comply. When officers attempted to make an arrest for trespassing, police said the group interfered with the arrest by crowding the officers and attempting to interject themselves.
Fall River police have not identified the seven people who were arrested.
