New body camera video shows the moment an armed suspect was arrested for allegedly shoplifting inside the Fairfield Jungle Jim’s.
Fairfield police arrested Devin Metcalf and two 17-year-old boys after security said they were stealing candy, cookies and ice cream last Thursday night.
According to police records, Metcalf tried to run from officers and a gun magazine fell out of his pocket. After catching up with Metcalf, police said they found a Glock in his jacket.
Metcalf is facing charges of robbery, carrying concealed weapons and obstructing official business.
On Tuesday, Metcalf bonded out of jail, posting a $5,000 fee. He is scheduled to be back in court on Thursday.
The two teenagers were both charged with theft.
