On January 7, 2023, at around 10:20 p.m., an off-duty Atlanta police officer who was working neighborhood patrol was alerted to a suspicious male seen entering unoccupied vehicles and also pulling on multiple door handles in the 200 block of Camden Rd NE and 200 block of Brighton Rd NE.
The officer was able to spot the male entering a parking deck located at 2001 Peachtree Rd NE. The officer requested additional units to his location as he followed behind the male. Once he got closer to the parking deck, the officer observed the male standing next to a parked vehicle.

The officer was able to detain the male without incident. Upon further investigation, the male was identified as 20-year-old Jaheem Futrell. He was later found to have two pending warrants: receiving stolen property and the other for aggravated assault.

Additionally, he was charged with Entering Auto, Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony, and Loitering/Prowling.
